  1. Scent List [Need to Try]

These are a few scents I will probably try. A fragrance on a person is signature, unique to each user. I am very particular with scents, I know what I like and what I don’t. This scent is supposed to represent me and mix well with my body chemistry. My particular favorite perfumes so far are: Ed hardy, YSL, and Marc Jacobs. This is just a compiled list for fragrances I’d like to try. Read the reviews though you might find something for you :)

    Lacoste - Touch of pink:

Ralph Lauren - Romance: Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume is by far one of my favorite perfumes ever made. There was another Ralph Lauren scent that I really liked but haven’t been able to find and I’m glad I found Romance because it was a good replacement. What I like about Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume’s scent is that it’s a very subtle, airy, clean and delicate floral scent. The packaging and bottle is simple but nice, very Ralph Lauren. This perfume goes on as good as it smells out of the bottle and it’s available in a gift set. The price for this perfume is standard for designer fragrances. It’s one of those timeless scents that’s great for all ages. Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume lasts a fairly long time too. I haven’t notice any changes in the scent when combined with body sweat or humidity either. Another thing that I like about Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume is that it’s an American brand, something that’s hard to find these days. Some many are going bankrupt.

I only have one or two complaints about Ralph Lauren’s Romance perfume. The first thing is the price. Yes, it’s pretty standard for designer fragrances but it’s still pricy. I would expect an American brand to costs less in America because often times it is. My other complaint is that this perfume can only be found at places like Sephora, ULTA and major department stores like Macy’s, Dillard’s and JCPenney.

**YSL - Opium: Yves Saint Laurent website lists Opium as having topnotes of mandarin, bergamot, lily of the valley; a heart of jasmine, carnation, myrrh; and a base of vanilla, amber, sweet myrrh, and patchouli. Jan Moran adds plum, hespirides, clove, coriander, pepper, bay leaf, cinnamon, peach, orris, sandalwood, vetiver, opopanax, labdanum, castoreum, incense, musk, and tolu to Opium’s notes. As these notes tell, Opium is a thick, spicy, wallop of oriental luxuriance. But Opium is really about the dry down. Here, every trick in the Oriental fragrance’s book is played: I smell wood, balsam, and resins galore, all steeped in incense, labdanum, and a honey-tea that reminds me of tobacco. - Review by Angela

*side review: I sprayed on some Opium at the store it started out smelling like a wood-burning fireplace and after a while it was really cinnamony - Bunny

+Donna Karan Gold: This features notes of Casablanca lilies, fluid amber, sparkling acacia, white clove, jasmine templar, golden blossom and patchouli.

Last month I said that I thought Tom Ford’s Black Orchid was perhaps the most impressive mainstream perfume release this year; Donna Karan’s Gold may well get my vote for the prettiest. The top notes are crisp and summery, with lots of lily; as it calms, the lily is folded into the other floral notes — it is never cloying or heavy, as lily can sometimes be — and in general the fragrance has the “well-blended” aspect that distinguishes a modern department store floral. If you’re a huge lily fan, you may find the whole thing too sheer for your taste; if you’re not, it might be just the thing.

As it dries down, it gets warmer and takes on a pale, sueded amber finish with mild hints of spice. In the Eau de Toilette, it never gets more than middling-warm; the Eau de Parfum is both richer and warmer, and perhaps more appropriate to cold weather.
